Why a May intake can be a smart shortcut
- Save almost four months. Courses that start in late May finish by November or early December, letting you enter the UK job market ahead of the large September cohort (Coventry University, 2025).
- Lower competition means higher chances. Fewer applicants apply for spring, so universities often have seats, scholarships, and campus rooms left even in late April (Ulster University Branch Campuses, 2025).
- Visa processing has become faster. UKVI’s paid Priority (5 working days) and Super-Priority (24 hours) routes cut waiting times dramatically (UK Visas & Immigration, 2025).The
- Graduate Route still applies. Finishing a one-year master’s that starts in May 2025 lets you apply for the two-year post-study work visa exactly like September starters—no disadvantages.

48-hour fast-track checklist
- Gather scans (PDF): passport, transcripts, IELTS/PTE, two references, CV, statement of purpose.
- Show funds: at least £9,207 (outside London) or £12,006 (inside) plus outstanding tuition.
- Pay your deposit: £4-6k is standard; most schools won’t issue a CAS without it.
- Book the credibility interview (required by Coventry, Ulster QA, and BPP).
- Choose visa service: Priority (£500, 5 days) or Super-Priority (£1,000, 24 h) to stay on schedule (UKVI, 2025).

Five ways to secure your seat this week

- Use LinkedIn for a soft nudge. A short thank-you note to the course leader often speeds an offer when seats are tight.
- Choose fewer electives. Fixed modules mean fewer timetable clashes, making you easier to enrol quickly.
