If a person has specified an amount in name of investment in the UK, then you must apply for a tier 1 investor Visa. You can also change, update, and switch your investor visa into any other work visa category.
3 years is the time for you to stay in the UK after switching your visa type. Your dependents (spouse, children under 18 years of age, and above 18 years of age) may also stay in the UK with you, but your family must apply for their own Visa.
