Temporary worker (T5) Charity work visa: -
If you want to do voluntary work (without Payment) then you can get the T5 temporary work visa.This visa is swapped with a T5 charity work visa from a temporary work visa.
Eligibility: -
For the temporary worker or charity work visa:
- You must have a reference number of the sponsorship certificate from your sponsor in the UK.
- Prove of money that is enough to support you in the UK. You will have a minimum amount of £1270 if you are not exempt.
- You can get multiple entries for the UK if your sponsor gives you the right on sponsorship certificate.
Sponsorship: -
You can get a certificate of sponsorship to come to the UK and your sponsorship certificate employer must be licensed for related work. You must do work related to your sponsoring authority in the UK.
Decision Time: -
You will normally obtain a decision on your Visa application within 3 weeks if you are not in the UK at the time of application. You will obtain the decision on your application if you are inside the UK.
Cost of application: -
The cost of applying for a visa is £244 for each person. The fee is the same whether you are applying from inside and outside the UK. You must pay the healthcare surcharge
Stay Duration: -
You can allow living in the UK for up to 12 months or the duration mentioned on the sponsorship certificate added 14 days, which one is shorter. But you are allowed to enter the UK prior to 14 days before the start date of your work.
Do’s and Don'ts: -
For a charity visa (T5):
- you must do the job mentioned in your sponsorship certificate.
- You can do another job working hours up to 20 according to circumstances.
- If you are eligible, allow bringing your partner and children with you and your dependents.
- You can also do a job up to 20 hours in a week, you may select the work from the skilled worker shortage occupation list or the same profession you already do a job at the same level.
