Eligibility Criteria
- To be considered for the Charles Darwin University RTP Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- • Be eligible for full-time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at Charles Darwin University.
- • Fulfill the academic entry requirements for either a Master’s degree by research or a Doctorate by research at the university.

- • Demonstrate exceptional research potential to pursue an HDR program.
- • International applicants must provide evidence of meeting the university's minimum English language proficiency requirements. Please refer to the University Entry Requirements for detailed information.
- • Applicants should not be receiving any other financial support that exceeds 75% of the RTP stipend rate.
- PhD applicants shall pass the entrance exam as a part of the selection process.
Benefits:
- • International students awarded the Charles Darwin University Research Scholarship will receive an annual stipend of $32,192
- • Additionally, their tuition fees will be fully covered for the duration of the scholarship.
- The scholarship also includes Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and a relocation allowance to assist with moving expenses.
- • Students will benefit from paid sick leave and maternity leave, ensuring they are supported throughout their studies.
- • Beyond financial support, international applicants will have valuable networking opportunities and the chance to immerse themselves in the vibrant academic and cultural life of Australia.
Charles Darwin University RTP Scholarship Requirements:
- • Certified copies of all qualification documents, including transcripts, grading systems, award certificates, and English translations (if applicable).
- • A Research Project proposal (1500-1700 words or 3-4 pages).
- • Proof of English language proficiency.
- • A copy of your passport.
- • A detailed CV, including a list of publications.
- • Two referee reports.
- • A Statement of Purpose

- • Any other supporting documentation, if needed.
